06Licensing application
Apply for a
license.
Highlight LA represents and manages licensed properties across brands, entertainment, music, and art. This is the front door for manufacturers, retailers, and brand builders who want to work with them.
01The process
Six steps from application to launch.
A clear, disciplined path. Every applicant moves through the same review so that brand equity, product quality, and territory integrity are protected.
01
Submit your application
Share the property you want to license, your category, and the markets you intend to serve. Most applications take fifteen minutes to complete.
02
Portfolio review
Our licensing team reviews brand fit, category availability, and territory conflicts against the current portfolio. Typical response within five business days.
03
Documentation & vetting
We collect your business documentation, references, and compliance paperwork, then run a standard financial and factory review.
04
Term sheet
We issue a term sheet covering royalty rate, advance, minimum guarantees, territory, channel, and the approved product architecture.
05
Design & product approvals
Concepts, artwork, samples, and packaging move through licensor approval in our shared review workflow before production is released.
06
Production & launch
Purchase orders are placed across our LA, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Mexico network, with royalty reporting set up on a quarterly cadence.
02Required documents
What to have ready.
You can submit the application first; documentation is requested at the vetting stage. Having these prepared shortens review considerably.
Business registration
Certificate of incorporation or equivalent, plus a W-9 or local tax identification.
Financial statements
Two most recent years, or a bank reference letter for newly formed companies.
Insurance certificate
General and product liability, typically $1M per occurrence, with the licensor added as additional insured.
Distribution plan
Named accounts, channels, and territories, with projected first-year unit and revenue volume.
Product line plan
Category breakdown, price architecture, and proposed launch calendar.
Factory disclosure
Manufacturing locations and current social-compliance audit reports for each facility.
Brand & design deck
Creative direction, reference product, and prior licensed work if applicable.
Signed NDA
Required before confidential property assets, style guides, or rate cards are shared.
